HESPERIA – An adult male died as a result of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on Wednesday evening. At around 5:20 p.m. Hesperia Station deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to the Sequoia Street near First Avenue in the City of Hesperia for a vehicle versus pedestrian collision.
When they arrived they found the male pedestrian with major injuries and immediately began performing CPR on him. The pedestrian was taken to Desert Valley Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
Through investigation, deputies learned that the pedestrian was crossing south on Sequoia Street when he was struck by an eastbound traveling Ford F150. According to sheriff’s officials, the pedestrian, who was wearing dark clothing was not in the crosswalk when he attempted to cross the street.
