ONTARIO – The man who police believe is responsible for the sexual assault against children at the Burlington Coat Factory on two separate days has been arrested.
Carlos Castillo, 37, of Yucaipa was arrested for the two assaults, one on October 9th and the second on October 29th. Both assaults took place at the store located at 4777 East Mills Circle when the suspect allegedly lured the female children, ages 5-10 years old away from their parents and inappropriately touched them.
Surveillance photos were released to the public, including those of the suspect and the suspect vehicle on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Castillo was arrested on Wednesday night in the 1300 block of North Mountain Avenue in the City of Ontario after patrol officers spotted his vehicle.
He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14. He is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
Investigators believe there to be other victims, anyone who believes that themselves or their child may have been victimized by this suspect should file a report.
