HESPERIA – A Hiker in the unincorporated area of Hesperia located a dead man on the side of the trail on Sunday afternoon. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Officials said that the hiker called 911 and told dispatchers that he located the man while walking on the Pacific Crest Trail near the West Fork Mojave River.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department located the deceased man that had no visible signs of injury at around 3:56 p.m. He was declared dead at 4:30 p.m. The name of the deceased man is not being disclosed at this time to give authorities the opportunity to notify next of kin. The death remains under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
