RANCHO CUCAMONGA – A 29-year-old Hemet man inadvertently turned himself into jail on Thursday, officials said. Jason Ellison was entering the West Valley Detention Center parking lot in a silver 2013 Nissan Altima. As he drove in, he failed to stop at the posted stop sign at the guard shack.
He was stopped and the deputy learned that Ellison did not have a driver’s license or other identification. The deputy did a records check which indicated that Ellison had outstanding warrants for his arrest.
A vehicle search was done and a large amount of marijuana, cash, and a scale were located. Ellison was booked into the West Valley Detention Center for bringing drugs into a jail facility and transportation of marijuana. He was released Thursday night and has no court dates scheduled at this time.
