BARSTOW – A man was stabbed multiple times after nearly hitting a pedestrian in Barstow on Saturday evening.
On October 13, 2018, at around 7:30 p.m. Barstow Police responded to the report of a stabbing at the Circle K Gas Station, located in the 1500 block of East Main Street. The gas station employee (reporting party) said that the man stabbed another man near the gas pumps. He went on to explain that the male suspect, fled on foot toward the Ramada Inn and the victim left in a vehicle, driven by a woman.
Officers responded to the Circle K and a sergeant responded to Barstow Community Hospital to look for the victim. The sergeant located the victim, who suffered numerous wounds to his chest and neck. The victim was immediately treated, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was airlifted to Antelope Valley Hospital for a higher level of care. The woman who drove the victim to the hospital was identified as her fiance. She explained to the sergeant that the two of them were pulling into the Circle K Gas Station when they almost hit the male pedestrian.
The two relieved that they had not hit the crossing pedestrian, pulled up to the gas pump. The pedestrian made contact with the male victim, upset that he was almost struck. He suddenly attacked the victim and stabbed him several times. The terrified woman grabber her fiance, put him in the car, and drove him to the hospital.
Evidence was collected and processed at the Circle K location. Surveillance video also captured the stabbing incident. The suspect, Albert Williams II, 26, of Hinkley, watched as authorities collected evidence. A sergeant approached Williams and identified him as the suspect captured on surveillance video. The victim’s fiance also positively identified Williams as the suspect who stabbed the victim. He was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for Attempted Murder.
