RIVERSIDE – A Missouri man was arrested for a motorhome theft in the City of Riverside on Thursday authorities said.
At around 4:45 p.m. dispatchers received a call from a reporting party in the Northside neighborhood of Riverside near Main Street and Lofton Place reporting that their motorhome was just stolen. The caller reported that they were the owners of the motorhome and they were following the suspect, who had just entered the westbound 60 freeway onramp at Main Street. “The RV pulled over on the off-ramp at Rubidoux Avenue as officers were arriving in the area,” Riverside Police officials said. “A high-risk stop was conducted with the help of K-9 “Rocco,” and the suspect complied with officers’ commands and canine barks before being safely detained.”
The driver was identified as Conner Boitnott, 22, of Missouri. Boitnott was booked into jail for vehicle theft.
