MORENO VALLEY – A 39-year-old Moreno Valley man was arrested for the theft of computer equipment. Epic Management Inc. in Loma Linda called authorities to report that two of their laptops had been stolen. Investigation into the theft led to the identification of Daniel Jones, as the suspect who stole the laptops and sold them to various people in the Moreno Valley area.
A detective interviewed Jones and additional items were identified as having been stolen from the business by Jones. Stolen items include, seven Viewsonic computer monitors, two Lenovo laptops, ten keyboards, ten computer mice, and an Apple MacBook Pro. One of the Lenovo laptops and the MacBook Pro have been located but the other items have still not been found.
On Friday, Jones was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for grand theft. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
