LOMA LINDA – A 16-year-old Hemet boy was arrested for several recent residential burglaries in the Loma Linda area.
Loma Linda area deputies responded to a home in the 11000 block of Murphy Street on November 17, 2018, at around 8:00 p.m. for the report of a burglary. When they arrived the learned that the suspect(s) shattered the rear sliding glass door to gain entry into the home. The inside of the home was ransacked and property was missing. The City of Loma Linda had experienced several home burglaries within the previous month all during evening hours.
On November 24, 2018, a vehicle in the City of Loma Linda was stopped for vehicle code violations. The deputy made contact with the three subjects in the vehicle and located evidence related to the previous home burglaries. Authorities learned that the juvenile driver was responsible for three burglaries in the area. Stolen property was also recovered at the teen’s Hemet home. The juvenile was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall for Residential Burglary.
