SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The mother of a child who was previously abused by her boyfriend has now also been arrested for child abuse.
Cameron Breon Martin, 25, of San Bernardino, was arrested on March 19, 2019, in the 7200 block of Conejo Drive in the City of San Bernardino at around 8:06 a.m. for the physical abuse of his girlfriend’s 4-year-old son. A referral from Children and Family Services led to an investigation and subsequent arrest of Martin. Evidence was collected during the investigation into the abuse. “During that investigation, it was found that Martin had choked and assaulted Parkers 4-year-old son,” Sheriff officials said. “Martin’s case has since been adjudicated and he was convicted of child abuse.”
As a result of the child abuse allegation and arrest, the children, a 4-year-old and 8-year-old boy were taken into the custody of Children and Family Services, officials said. The 8-year-old boy had injuries to his face when he went into CFS custody. The injuries were consistent with being punched in the face. An investigation began as a result of the injuries to the child. Multiple witnesses were contacted and evidence was collected to prove that Shaniqua Lashawn Parker abused the child.
Parker was located and arrested for felony child abuse. She is currently on felony probation and was booked into the Central Detention Center. She is being held without bail.
