VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A motorcyclist was airlifted following a hit-and-run traffic collision on Tuesday night.
Just before 10:00 p.m. a vehicle described as a gray 4-door sedan struck a motorcycle on Amethyst Road just north of Bear Valley Road. Without stopping continued driving through the parking lot of a nearby shopping center, then eastbound on Bear Valley Road. The motorcyclist was thrown to the ground and sustained major injuries to his leg.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Station spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said that the driver has still not been located or identified. The motorcyclist was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment of his injuries and is expected to survive.
