NORTH HOLLYWOOD – A North Hollywood man who is accused of stabbing his 1-year-old daughter to death after an argument with her mother was charged with the stabbing, LA County District Attorney officials announced. Noe Torres, 48, now faces one count murder, assault on a child causing death, and arson of an inhabited structure of property. Torres is scheduled to be arraigned today at the Van Nuys Superior Court.
Torres was accused of stabbing his daughter, Rosario with a knife at the family’s apartment in the 13000 block of Vanowen Street in the City of North Hollywood on Friday, October 21, 2016. Torres then, according to the District Attorney officials set the second-story apartment on fire, stabbed himself, and jumped out of the window while partly engulfed in flames.
Torres faces 34 years to life in prison if convicted as charged. His bail is set at over $2 million.
