LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. – One person is suffering major injuries, two are suffering minor injuries, and one person is deceased after a single-vehicle collision on Saturday night, officials said.
At around 10:36 p.m., the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and emergency medical personnel responded to the area of SR-18 and Custer Avenue in Lucerne Valley. When CHP officers arrived they located a Jeep overturned landing on its side. The Jeep was blocking lanes.
Two people were found at the scene with minor injuries, one 25-year-old woman was ejected from the vehicle and sustained a major head injury. Shortly after a third person was located and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A CHP helicopter, H80 is responding to Lion’s Park in the Town of Apple Valley and will transport the female to Arrowhead Regional Hospital for treatment of her injuries. The Coroner was called to the scene to transport the deceased person.
