Over 3400 Marijuana Plants Found at a Residence Behind the Loves Truck Stop in Barstow

BARSTOW – Over 3400 marijuana plants were located on a Barstow residential property leading to the arrest of seven allegedly involved suspects. The Barstow Police were made aware of the possible illegal marijuana cultivation behind the Love’s Truck stop on August 31, 2017. The officers began investigating and soon located evidence corroborating the citizen report. At the time they believed that there were hundreds of marijuana plants, which led to them obtaining a search warrant for the home.

On Wednesday morning, the search warrant was executed at the home located at 2600 Salt Springs Avenue. One of the seven people who were inside the main house fled on foot when seeing police. Lisheng Huang was pursued by and was located and apprehended without incident. Seventeen plots of marijuana were found growing on the property, all of the plants were in different stages of maturity in each of the plots. Officers, deputies and evidence technicians process the entire scene finding 3432 marijuana plants. Lisheng Huang, 52, of Sacramento, Zhao Huei, 63, of Barstow, Shulin Huang, 52, of Sacramento, Xianjlan Xiao, 52, of Los Angeles, Jenny Pan, 49, of La Puente, Alan Wong, 54, Barstow, and Lan Shiren, 44, of San Gabriel.

All seven suspects were booked at the Barstow Police Department for H&S 11358(c) – Cultivating More Than Six Plants and BMC 19.27.030- Illegal Outdoor Cultivation in City of Barstow.
