APPLE VALLEY – Opening night for the “Over Here, Over There: In Times of War” is coming to the Victor Valley Museum on Friday, May 26th. This exhibit will help bring History to life for those of all ages, with Military uniforms and equipment from the American Civil War to the start of the Cold War. Teachings of the impact on service members as well as civilians will be displayed through letters from the time periods surrounding the wars.
The opening night will include a visit from the Orenda Veterans Project, which is an organization that provides assistance to veterans. A collection of military vehicles including Troop Transports and a H1 Hummer will be showcased. The Victor Valley Museum is located at 11873 Apple Valley Road in the Town of Apple Valley. The exhibit opens on Friday, May 26, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Price for adults is $5, seniors are $7, and children ages 5 to 12 are $2.50. Museum members are free and active military and veterans can attend free of charge on opening evening.
