RANCHO CUCAMONGA – The owner of Bray Family Child Care was arrested for the sexual abuse of a 9-year-old girl who he was the legal guardian to.
On Wednesday, February 7, 2018, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station responded to the elementary school of the small child after Children and Family Services were made aware of the possible sexual abuse. The child indicated that she was the victim of ongoing sexual abuse by her guardian Douglas Richard Bray, 50.
Through investigation, it was learned that Bray and his wife operated a private daycare from their home in the 8000 block of Monte Vista Avenue in the City of Rancho Cucamonga since 2004. The Crimes Against Children Detail assumed the investigation. Bray was interviewed and subsequently arrested for lewd acts with a minor under 14, and continuous sexual abuse with a minor under 14. Bray was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with bail was set at $250,000.
Due to the daycare and access to other children, authorities believe that there may be other victims from the Bray Family Childcare who may have been sexually assaulted by him.
