PALM SPRINGS – The Palm Springs Police Department needs help to identify the suspect that they believed was involved in two armed robberies at the same location.
The liquor store located in the 1400 block of S. Palm Canyon Drive in the City of Palm Springs occurred on March 21, 2018, at around 10:00 p.m. A Hispanic or White man entered the store and immediately walked up to the clerk, pointed a handgun at him, and demanded money from the cash register. The clerk complied, giving the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk then fled the scene.
Nearly three weeks later, on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at around 7:15 a.m. police were notified of a second armed robbery at the same location. The circumstances of robbery were similar and according to police, the suspect appears to be the same suspect.
The Palm Springs Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect in these robberies. Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect is asked to call the Palm Springs Police Department Crimes Against Person’s Unit at 760-778-8411 or Crime Stoppers at 760-341-7867.
