PALM SPRINGS, Ca. – A man was killed after being struck by a hit and run vehicle on Monday night.
Authorities said that the man was struck sometime around 9:30 p.m., in the 1200 block of S. Palm Canyon Drive. When officers from the Palm Springs Police Department arrived, they found the male victim lying on the roadway. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver fled the scene without checking on the well-being of the victim. It is believed that the suspect was driving a dark-colored compact sedan driving south on South Palm Canyon Drive following the collision. The vehicle should have front-end damage as a result of the collision.
The Palm Springs Police Department is seeking information to assist with this investigation.
