CAIRO, NY. – A driver went out of control, crashing her vehicle on Wednesday morning.
Cairo, New York Fire, Cairo Ambulance, Greene County Medics, and Greene County Sheriffs Department responded to Silver Spur Road for the report of a single-vehicle traffic collision. When they arrived they found a sedan with major front end damage. Inside the vehicle they found the young female driver suffering from a leg injury.
Through investigation they learned that the driver panicked when she noticed a spider in the driver’s area while she was driving. “We know that it is easier for some drivers than others but please, try to teach new drivers and yourselves to overcome the fear and pull over to a safe place,” Cairo Police officials said in a Facebook post. “Lives depend on it.”
