SAN JACINTO – A female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed early Monday morning official said. At around 5:40 a.m. officers from the San Jacinto police department responded to the area of Sanderson Avenue north of Cottonwood Avenue in San Jacinto.
Through investigation, it was determined that the female pedestrian was crossing the street when she was struck by three vehicles. Two of the vehicles stopped to report the incident and render aid, the other left the scene without stopping. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for several hours for an investigation.
The identity of the pedestrian is not being released at this time so that the family can first be notified. The San Jacinto Police Department requests anyone having additional information regarding this incident, including the vehicle that left the scene or the identity of its driver, to call Deputy Cortez at 951-654-2702.
