PERRIS – A 33-year-old Perris man died as a result of a single vehicle traffic collision on Thursday evening, officials said. At around 5:15 p.m. the Perris Police responded to the collision on Mountain Avenue in the City of Perris. Authorities said that the driver lost control of the vehicle while driving westbound causing the vehicle to overturn on the north side of the roadway.

The sole occupant of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was temporarily closed so the Perris Reconstructive Unit could conduct an investigation. The name of the driver is not being released at this time.

Anyone with information on this investigation is encouraged to call Deputy Kiebach at the Perris Sheriff’s Station, (951) 210-1000.
