PHELAN – A 27-year-old Phelan woman was arrested for child abuse after deputies made contact with two children at their school on Monday.
A Victor Valley Station deputy interviewed the two older children, ages 9 and 6. At the conclusion of the interview, she suspected abuse caused by their mother, Amanda Blaylock. The children and they younger 1-year-old sibling were all removed from the home and placed in protective custody. None of the injuries the children sustained required medical attention.
Blaylock was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for child abuse and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. She was formally charged with two felony counts of child abuse on by the Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Blaylock is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Thursday, December 8, 2016.
