BARSTOW – The Barstow Police are searching for the whereabouts of a man responsible for a Saturday night stabbing. At around 11:50 p.m. police responded to Agate Road to the report of a suspect reportedly vandalizing a trailer on their property.
The reporting party said that her brother, identified as Duane Nelson Brown was checking the property for the suspect or suspects. Police arrived at around 12:04 a.m. and began searching the area for possible suspects when they located a male victim on the ground in the desert area in close proximity to the location.
The man had stab wounds to his chest and was transported to Barstow Community Hospital for treatment. Brown, who was identified as the suspect in the stabbing fled the scene. Deputies were unable to locate Brown during the investigation and are still yet to locate him.
