Pomona Man Arrested for Child Endangerment, Kidnapping and Evading Arrest

CHINO HILLS – A 25-year-old Pomona man was arrested for child endangerment, kidnapping, and felony evading Friday night. At around 9:43 p.m. deputies from the Chino Hills station responded to the report of a verbal altercation between a man and woman in a vehicle at an apartment complex in the 12000 block of Pipeline Avenue.

As deputies approached the vehicle they saw Anthony Trejo, a female adult from Chino, and two children in the backseat, also from Chino. Trejo saw deputies approaching and Trejo drove from the scene, leading deputies on a 4.7-mile pursuit through both San Bernardino and Los Angeles Counties. The woman and children remained in the vehicle against their will.

The chase ended at Mission Boulevard and State Highway 71 in Pomona when Trejo collided into the center median. He fled on foot but was located hiding in the backyard of a nearby home. Trejo, a parolee with an active warrant for his arrest was transported to the West Valley Detention Center for booking.
