FULLERTON – A Moreno Valley man is dead and another man recovering after a shooting Thursday night in the 1300 block of South Orange Avenue in the City of Fullerton.
The shooting took place at around 9:40 p.m. at the Fullerton apartment complex where a 22-year-old man was shot in his hand, and a 40-year-old Moreno Valley man sustained wounds to his upper torso. The two were rushed to UC Irvine Medical Center in the City of Orange where Alton Evans III, 40, died as a result of his injuries.
The investigation into the incident led authorities to 20-year-old Moreno Valley resident, Zachary Simmons and 39-year-old Hesperia resident, Andre Evans. Both suspects were booked into a Fullerton jail for murder.
