POMONA – A 33-year-old Pomona man was arrested Friday morning for stabbing two victims, one on Thursday and the other on Friday.
The first stabbing was on the 500 block of East Foothill Boulevard. Authorities said what began as an altercation led to the stabbing causing significant injuries to the victim’s upper body. Although the victim was stabbed multiple times he is expected to survive.
Early Friday morning a second stabbing took place near the same location as the first stabbing. The victim was stabbed several times and sustained serious injuries but is also expected to survive. Authorities said that the suspect was known to the victim. The suspect was identified and connected to the Thursday morning incident also.
While searching the neighborhood for the suspect he was located behind a building in the 200 block of East Foothill Boulevard. He was arrested without further incident and transported to the Pomona City Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
