REDLANDS – A security guard at the Citrus Plaza in the City of Redlands was shot in the face with an airsoft gun after simply doing his job on Monday authorities said.
The group of juveniles were selling candy on the property and the security guard made contact with them to let them know that was not allowed on the property. When he approached, one of the juveniles shot him in the face with the airsoft gun causing injury to his lip.
The juveniles continued to throw rocks at the victim and fled the area. The security guard flagged down a Police Officer from the Redlands Police Department. Officers located the suspects near Lugonia/Tennessee, where one was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into Juvenile Hall. The airsoft pistol was located and recovered.
