REDLANDS, Calif. – A Redlands School District employee at Redlands East Valley High School was arrested for the sexual abuse of a teen boy.
The investigation began when 16-year-old San Bernardino resident reported the sexual abuse by Eduardo Alvarado, 46, of Yucaipa. The boy said that Alvarado is his relative and for several years he was sexually abused by him while at his Yucaipa home.
On February 15, 2019, Yucaipa Police Department investigators and Specialized Enforcement Division detectives made contact with Alvarado when they served a search warrant at his home. Following the search of his home in the 10600 block of Bryant Street in the City of Yucaipa, Alvarado was arrested for Sodomy with a Child Under 14 by Force, Oral Copulation with a Child under 14 by Force, Lewd Acts with a Child under 14 by Force, False Imprisonment, and Criminal Threats.
Although Alvarado is a Redlands School District employee, the victim is not a Redlands School District student. Detectives suspect there may be additional victims.Alvarado is in custody at West Valley Detention Center and is being held on $750,000 bail. He is expected to be arraigned on February 20, 2019 in San Bernardino Superior Court.
