VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A Victorville woman was arrested for attempting to run over her teen son on Sunday.
At around 7:30 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Station responded to the 15500 block of Fifth Street for the report of a disturbance. When they arrived they learned that Ranelle Shamone Pace, 38, (Also known as “Prophetess Ranelle Grace”) was involved in an altercation with her 17-year-old son. During the altercation, Pace got into her vehicle with two of her other children attempting to leave the home. The teen victim began to throw bricks at the vehicle.
“Pace accelerated in the direction of victim he jumped on the vehicle to avoid being hit,” said Victorville Sheriff’s Station Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez. “She backed up and then repeated this action again, forcing the victim to jump onto the hood of the car a second time and hold on while she drove back into the driveway.” Pace again accelerated toward the teen and he jumped on the vehicle to avoid being hit. Pace was arrested for inflicting injury on a child and was booked at the High Desert Detention Center. She is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday, August, 27, 2019. The victim did not sustain any serious injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene.
