RIVERSIDE – Two semi-trucks are destroyed after an early Sunday morning blaze. Just after 6:50 a.m. the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to the 500 block of Sieck for the report of smoke and fire. When they arrived they located two semi-trucks on fire.
Firefighters requested a water tender to the scene due to the lack of available hydrants in the area. A full structure response was initiated which included eight firefighters. The fire was contained within around 25 minutes but city fire officials said that extensive mop-up was required.
The loss is estimated to be around $100,000. An arson investigator remains at the scene as of 10:00 a.m. Sunday to investigate the cause of the fire.
