RIVERSIDE – A 50-year-old man died Monday morning when two full pallets of lumber fell on him, City fire officials said. Just before 10:30 a.m. the Riverside Fire Department was dispatched to the business, located at 400 Main Street in the City of Riverside.
When they arrived they quickly removed the pallets from the man who was dead as a result of major crush injuries. The Riverside Coroner arrived at the scene to investigate and remove the body of the deceased man from the scene.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The name of the man will be released pending notification of next of kin. Firefighters remained on the scene while to stabilize the load.
