RIVERSIDE – A 25-year-old Riverside man was arrested for the sale of methamphetamine and possession of weapons while on probation on Tuesday. The ongoing investigation into Downtown area methamphetamine sales led the Riverside Police Department Narcotics Unit to serve a search warrant on a home on the 3800 block of 5th Street. Three subjects were located in the home and were detained. The detective and his K-9 partner, Link, located small packaged amounts of methamphetamine which appeared to be packed for sale. Further inspection of the property led the detective to a stolen handgun, stolen rifle, and an eleven-inch sawed-off shotgun.
Following the investigation, Kyle Sexton was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for sales of methamphetamine, felon in possession of a firearm, prohibited firearm, felony probation violation, and committing a felony while out on bail. Anyone with any information pertinent to the investigation is asked to contact Detective Jeffery Acosta at (951) 353-7216.
