CRESTLINE – A male hang glider died in the City of Crestline Wednesday afternoon, County Fire officials said. Just after 1:30 p.m. firefighters responded to the call reporting that the man was hanging from a tree that just moments after launch he became entangled in.
Firefighters arrived shortly area to the area of Playground and Crest Forest Drives to locate the man hanging from the tree. Just before 2:00 p.m. after firefighters made access to the victim he was determined to be dead at the scene. Fire crews at the scene had the daunting task of removing the deceased man from the tree.
The identity of the victim has not been released. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
