RIVERSIDE – Around ¼ pound of methamphetamine and over $2000 in cash were located in a Riverside home leading to the arrest of the alleged drug dealer. The discovery came after over 20 calls for service were made with incidents at a home in the 4800 block of Charlotte Way in the Wood Streets neighborhood of Riverside. The numerous calls including disturbances, auto theft, narcotics, gang activity and shots hear reports led to an intense 3-month long investigation.
Information was gathered and a search warrant was obtained. The warrant was served at the home last week. Upon entry into the home, officers located Donna Dufer hiding behind a coffee table. The coffee table had three scales, individually packed methamphetamine, and money on top of it. A second subject was found actively attempting to smoke the meth as the officers made entry into the home.
Dufer, 45, of Riverside was arrested for possession of illegal narcotics with the intent to sell. The other subject was issued a citation for possession of illegal narcotics and was subsequently released.
