RIVERSIDE – A Riverside woman was arrested after shooting her ex-husband on Friday night. The incident took place in the 2000 block of Stratford Way in the Victoria neighborhood of Riverside just before 9:00 p.m. Balinda Ballinger, 37, of Riverside, ran to her neighbors home and notified them that she had just shot her ex-husband.
When officers and emergency medical personnel arrived they located the male subject suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. Homicide investigators resumed the investigation, which led to the arrest of Ballinger who was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for attempted murder.
