San Bernardino Business Owner Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property

SAN BERNARDINO – The owner of the Quickstop Auto & Tire Center in the City of San Bernardino was arrested after stolen property was found at his place of business on Tuesday.

Authorities said that on the week of September 8, 2018, unknown suspects entered a tire distribution center in the 13000 block of Valley Boulevard in Fontana. The suspects cut through the wrought iron fence in order to get into the property. While on the property, the suspects entered a secured storage shipment container, stealing approximately 40 tires. The reporting party noticed and reported that the container had been broken into and tires were stolen on Monday, September 17, 2018.

Investigators from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station Criminal Investigation/Multiple Enforcement Team initiated an investigation the following day. Through investigation, they learned that similar tires were posted for sale online. A search warrant was executed at the QuickStop Automotive and Tire Center in the 1000 Block of W. 21st in San Bernardino. Investigators recovered the property stolen during the burglary at the property. Arturo Guzman, 41, of San Bernardino, the owner of the QuickStop Auto & Tire Center, was arrested for the Possession of Stolen Property. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
