ONTARIO – A Fontana man was arrested for the life-threatening stabbing of a Bell Gardens man.
At around 10:30 p.m. on September 19, 2018, Ontario Police responded to the 2700 block of South Cypress Point Place for the report of a stabbing. When they arrived they learned that Faustino Cardenas, 32, of Fontana, was jealous of the 25-year-old victim’s relationship with his female friend. Authorities said that Cardenas stabbed the victim several times in a jealous rage before leaving the scene. Cardenas was located in the City of Riverside at around 1:00 a.m. He was taken into custody without incident.
The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. This is an on-going investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Ontario Police Department at 909-986-6711 or Detective Jeff Wright at 909-408-1878.
