SAN BERNARDINO – A San Bernardino man and woman were arrested after leading deputies on a dispute late Wednesday night. At around 11:42 p.m. a deputy from the Central Station located a stolen Acura near Lynwood Drive and Del Rosa Avenue. The deputy activated his lights and sirens attempting to stop the vehicle, but the driver later identified as Victor Ojeda, 24, continued on into a residential area.
Additional deputies provided backup for the pursuit, which reached over 70 miles per hour. Ojeda collided into a dirt berm at a dead end of N Road, east of Windsor Drive. Ojeda fled on food, jumped multiple fences and was arrested on the front porch of a home. Angelica Monzon, 22, the passenger in the vehicle fled on foot and was located and arrested a short time later. Two firearms were found in the street in close proximity to the stolen vehicle. Ojeda and Monzon were both found to be on felony probation and were booked into jail for being felons in possession of a firearm and vehicle theft. Ojeda was also charged with felony evading.
Anyone with information related to this case is urged to contact Central Station at (909)387-3545.
