HESPERIA – Santa Fe Avenue E between El Centro and Mission Road in the City of Hesperia were closed late Thursday morning for a hit-and-run vehicle versus pedestrian collision.
The reporting party indicated that a male pedestrian, possibly a juvenile was struck by a wrong-way driver in a blue Chevrolet Corsica at around 11:35 a.m. The driver, who was followed by a witness, reportedly continued on without regard for the pedestrian left lying in the roadway.

The Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team — MAIT will remain at the scene for several hours to conduct the investigation. Once the preliminary investigation is complete additional information will be updated.
