Second Arrest Made in Murder of Victorville Man

VICTORVILLE – A second arrest in the murder of a 37-year-old Victorville man was made on Tuesday.

Deputies from the Victorville station responded to the report of a man suffering from gunshot wounds in the 12800 block of Boulder Creek Road in the City of Victorville on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at around 12:14 a.m. When they arrived the found Armando Castillo suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen and was transported to Desert Valley Hospital where at 1:23 a.m. he was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene to assume the investigations and learned that the shooting took place in the 13200 block of Soft Cloud Way. Once he was shot, his friends dropped him off at the home of an acquaintance in the 12800 block of Boulder Creek Road and called the 911 to request medical aid. Detectives from the High Desert Regional Gang Enforcement Team were requested by Homicide investigators to assist in the investigation. Michael Bauman, 44, of Victorville was arrested for murder at a Riverside home on July 17, 2017.

The investigation continued and Jermaine Lang, 31, of Victorville was identified as the second suspect. Lang is believed to be the shooter. He was arrested by the High Desert Regional Gang Enforcement Team on Saturday, September 2nd, in the City of Victorville. Lang was booked into the High Desert Detention Center and was then transferred to the West Valley Detention Center for murder.
