VICTORVILLE – A Skateboarder lost his life after sustaining major head injuries from colliding into the side of a bus, authorities said.
On Thursday, May 24, 2018, at around 8:52 a.m. a 21-year-old male was riding his skateboard westbound on Verde Street and failed to yield at a 4-way intersection at Hesperia Road. As he approached the intersection, a small passenger bus was heading northbound on Hesperia Road. The bus entered the intersection at Verde Street and was struck by the skateboarder. No passengers were on the bus at the time of the crash and the driver was not injured as a result of the crash.
The Victorville Station’s Major Accident Investigation Team is conducting the investigation. Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact Deputy A.
