CRESTLINE – A 76-year-old Victorville man died while riding his motorcycle on SR-138 approximately half a mile west of Old Mill Road on Sunday afternoon. Richard Dennis Smith, according to the Sheriff’s-Coroner news release, was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his two friends on his way to Victorville from Big Bear.
While on SR-138, for reasons still under investigation, Smith’s motorcycle left the roadway causing him to be ejected. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and paramedics pronounced Smith dead at the scene at approximately 1:24 p.m.
