ADELANTO – A teen girl stabbed her father in an attempt to defend her mother, who was being brutally beaten Friday morning.
At around 8:00 a.m. Victor Valley deputies responded to the report of a stabbing at the Oasis Village Apartments located at 11388 Lee Avenue. Upon arrival they located the suspect who suffered from a single stab wound to his back.
Through investigation deputies learned that the suspect, Fernando Gomez, 39 went to a home where his wife and children went after he assaulted his wife. Gomez located his family and became violent with his wife and her female friend, who attempted to assist her.
Both women were knocked to the ground with Gomez on top of his wife continuing the assault. His 16-year-old daughter felt that his mother in in serious danger so she ran to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed her father one time in the back.
Gomez was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. He will be charged with domestic battery. His teen daughter has not been charged with any crime as a result of the incident.
