TEMECULA – A 27-year-old male motorcyclist sustained major head injuries as a result of a collision on Saturday. At around 12:05 a.m. the Temecula man was riding northbound on Calle Ballentine at a high rate of speed. For unknown reasons, he collided into a parked vehicle that was on the east side of the road.
The rider was thrown several feet north of where his motorcycle was found. When police arrived they located the badly injured motorcyclist lying in the roadway unresponsive. He was transported to the Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar for the treatment of his injuries.
Investigation revealed that the motorcyclist was riding without a helmet or any other safety gear. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision. The road was closed until around 4:00 a.m. for the investigation.
