EASTVALE – Three residents of both Chino and Ontario were arrested when found to be in possession of counterfeit cash, and methamphetamine for sale in Eastvale on Wednesday. At about 1:27 p.m. police from the Eastvale station responded to the report of a shoplifting in progress at a store located at 12315 Limonite Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located and detained the man and woman allegedly involved in the shoplifting.
The woman, identified as Cherokee Hicks, 39, of Chino was found to be in possession of methamphetamine for sale and was also under the influence of a controlled substance. The man, identified as Iban Perez, 36, of Ontario was also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. The vehicle belonging to Hicks was located in the parking lot occupied by suspect, David Suarez, 36, of Ontario. Suarez was in possession of methamphetamine and was also under the influence of a controlled substance. While searching the vehicle, counterfeit cash was located.
All three were arrested; Hicks for possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of counterfeit currency, and being under the influence of a controlled substance, Perez for being under the influence of a controlled substance, and Suarez for possession of a controlled substance and for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
