JOSHUA TREE, Ca. – Two women and one man have been charged with the murder of a man who was found burned in Joshua Tree around two weeks ago.
The body of 72-year-old William Webb, was found on Friday, August 16, 2019, in the dry lake bed near Sunway Road and Rosehedge Avenue near the Joshua Tree National Park.
Authorities believe that Webb was murdered the day before his body was located, on August 15, 2019, by John Schiefer, 38, of Nipomo, Shavonne Webster, 40, of Winchester, Indiana, and Haena Kealia Worthing, 44, of Marina Del Rey.
It is believed that Schiefer and Webster used a hammer in order to kill Webb. If convicted as charged, Schiefer and Webster will face up to 26 years to life in prison and Worthing 25 years to live in prison.
