Three were killed and one was seriously injured as a result of a Memorial Day traffic collision. At around 3:14 p.m. Riverside County Firefighters and Cal Fire responded to the traffic collision with extrication involving a passenger vehicle and a semi truck on Highway 177, around 19 miles north of Desert Center.
When emergency medical personnel arrived they found three deceased and one who was airlifted for the treatment of serious injuries. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
