NORCO – Three were arrested as a result of a search warrant that was part of a Norco shooting investigation authorities said.
On Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at around 5:00 a.m., multiple agencies served multiple gang-related search warrants throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. The search warrants were authored as a result of an extensive investigation conducted by the Jurupa Valley Station Detective Bureau into a March 12, 2018. During the search, firearms, ammunition, and gang-related items were seized. Three suspects who were involved in the shooting, including Francisco Paredes, 36, of Moreno Valley, Michael Varela, 33, of Corona, and Daniel Florez, 28, of Colton, all members of criminal street gangs, were arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for attempted murder and gang enhancements. Each is being held on $1,000,000 bail.
