UPDATE: The 15-year-old female passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.

BAKER – Three were injured in a single vehicle traffic collision on the northbound 15 freeway just north of Rasor Road on Friday morning.

At around 11:30 a.m. the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and San Bernardino County Fire Department medics responded to the report that the red Chevy Aveo was involved in a rollover traffic collision.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel located the vehicle on its wheels in dirt center divider. Three suffered injuries, a 15-year-old girl was ejected and suffered a possible skull fracture. The teen was airlifted to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas.

The northbound I-15 was shut down for nearly an hour to create a makeshift landing zone for the medical helicopter.

The other two patients suffered moderate injuries and were transported by ground ambulance to University Medical Center in Las Vegas. The cause of the collision remains investigation by the CHP.
