VICTORVILLE, Calif. – A Victorville area transient was arrested for the theft a vehicle that was located in his possession on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, a 2010 Chevy Equinox was reported stolen from the Dollar Tree Store, located at 14792 La Paz Drive in the City of Victorville. Victorville Sheriff’s Station Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said that on Wednesday, August 7, 2018, at around 10:26 a.m., Sheriff’s Service Specialist G. Bracamontes spotted the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located at the San Bernardino County Transitional Assistance Department located on Palmdale Road near Borego.
Deputies from the Victorville Station arrived and took Preston Holloway, 28, into custody. The vehicle was recovered and the owner was notified. Holloway was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for being in possession of a stolen vehicle. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Thursday afternoon.
