Trona Man Arrested for Commercial Burglary

TRONA – A 21-year-old Trona man was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary on Wednesday evening. At around 5:34 p.m. a victim called authorities to report a break-in and theft from her storage garage in the 81000 block of Trona Road in Argus, which is in the Trona community.

A Trona Station deputy responded to the location and met with the victim. She told the deputy that quite a bit of her property was stolen. The deputy made contact with several local citizens who provided information which led him to the suspect being identified as Vincent Thigpen. Thigpen was located at his home in the 13300 block Clover Street. The property was located in his possession.

Thigpen was arrested for commercial burglary and possession of known stolen property. He was booked into the Barstow Jail and was later transported to the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto. He is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to call Deputy Anderson, or Corporal Awad at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Trona Station at (760)372-4096.
